L'hypoglycémie sévère chez les patients atteints de diabète de type 2 est étroitement liée à un risque accru d'événements cardiovasculaires et de mortalité. les études ont démontré que ces épisodes peuvent entraîner des complications graves, notamment des arythmies cardiaques et une prolongation de l'intervalle QTc*.
